Presidential Candidate Protests Excessive Force used by the Aurora Police Department to Inform Community of Solutions

Mayor Richard Irvin & Chief of Police Kristen Ziman Turn a Blind Eye to Excessive Force Used by the Aurora Police Department as Activist File Suits and Protest

AURORA, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, May 28, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — In a country devastated by the deaths and injuries of hundreds of people, many of them unarmed, at the hands of police officers, drastic changes are needed in our approach to public safety. Such excessive force by police is particularly disturbing given its disproportionate impact on people of color. Andy Hope Williams Jr., a Write In Presidential Candidate envisions and fights for a country where law enforcement treats all communities with dignity, employs restraint on police power, and uses only the degree of force necessary to maintain the community’s safety.

Williams seeks to have greater collaboration with and inclusion of community stakeholders; to improve training, policies, and practices to reduce the use of force; and to encourage stronger mechanisms for transparency and accountability, such as independent civilian review boards with disciplinary authority. His vision: a Kingdom on Earth where no community has to fear the police and where arrest and use of force by law enforcement are last resorts, not first options.

On Sunday May 31, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., Williams, activists and victims who suffered police brutality at the hands of Aurora officers, will peacefully assemble at the Aurora Police Department located at 1200 E Indian Trail Rd, Aurora, IL 60505. Williams, a Native from Aurora is running for President as a write in Candidate.

On August 27, 2019, Williams was racially profiled which led to an unlawful arrest. Four undercover police officers ambushed Williams for allegedly disobeying a stop sign. Williams was visibly upset as the officers tried to escalate the situation by given statistics about how many cops are shot during a traffic stop. “I was stopped, detained, and was very uncomfortable," said Williams, a community activist and Disciple of Christ. “I never thought after twenty-seven years of working to build the community I helped destroyed would this happen to me” said Williams who is a paralegal and has a bachelor’s degree and was once involved in gangs, selling drugs, and had been to prison in the 1990's.

On April 27, 2020 Williams filed a pro se complaint pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1983 against the City of Aurora, Aurora Chief of Police and the four police officers. Williams alleges the defendants violated his constitutional rights. Williams is representing himself in the suit.

After posting what happened on Facebook, Williams has received numerous complaints and videos of excessive force used by the Aurora Police Department, espicially the Special Operations Group also known as the SOG unit. On September 28, 2019, Officer K. Vogiatzis assaulted Marcus Randle during a traffic stop while he was handcuffed. Williams and Randle filed a complaint with the APD and the Officer Vogiatzis was found to have violated rules and regulations, but is still on the force.

After seeing what happened to George Floyd, activists in Aurora are fearful that it is just a matter of time before someone gets murdered by an Aurora Police Officer. "Some of the Officers that work at the Police Department are great, but they owe us a responsibility to hold the bad apples accountable," says Williams. "The Police always looking for the community to snitch, but they don't snitch on the criminals working in their department." Williams alleges the City maintains a de facto policy of racially discriminated stops which often result in excessive force and constitutional rights being violated.

On Sunday May 31, 2020, we say NO to injustice, NO to excessive force, NO to police brutality. "As President of the United States, I will pick up where Obama left off and use the Department of Justice to hold Municipalities accountable when they use excessive force." Williams is referring to a January 12, 2017, lawsuit filed by the United states of America in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The suit alleged a pattern or practice of conduct by law enforcement officers in deprivation of people's rights under the United States Constitution and federal laws. The United States brought the action against the Police Department of Baltimore City and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore under the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U.S.C. § 14141, Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000d, the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, 42 U.S.C. § 3789d, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. §§ 12131–12134.

In response to the DOJ’s findings, BPD and the City of Baltimore entered into an Agreement in Principle to work on creating a judicially-enforced consent decree that would help resolve the problems uncovered during the DOJ investigation. The Agreement in Principle outlined several key areas that the future consent decree should address, including: policies, training, data collection, and analysis; technology and infrastructure; officer support; and community policing strategies.

Williams and his team will be helping individuals file complaints against the Aurora Police Department as well as filing FOIA requests. Williams states: "The people need to elect a President who will proclaim good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, I AM the Hoodcandidate for President who will set the captives free."

Join us this Sunday to ensure our families, police officers, and loved ones are safe and will make it home from a traffic stop that does not result in death.

Farmer Co-ops Urge Withdrawal of Section 199A Proposal to Increase Taxes on Farmers

Farmer cooperatives today called on the Treasury Department and the OMB to withdraw proposed tax rules that would raise taxes on farmers.

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, May 28, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Executive Council of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) today called on the Treasury Department and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to withdraw proposed tax rules that would raise taxes on farmers and ranchers across the country.

The proposal would implement Section 199A(g) of the new tax code; these provisions were passed by Congress to fix the so-called “grain glitch” in 2018 and the Treasury Department recently sent them to OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA). The request came in a letter sent today to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin and Acting OMB Director Russell Vought.

“The COVID-19 crisis has strained the agriculture value chain to near the breaking point. As a result farmers and ranchers across the country have suffered tremendous economic losses; these impacts reach across commodity and threaten to undermine the economic sustainability of hundreds of thousands of producers,” the letter states. “While the U.S. Department of Agriculture is developing programs to help offset a part of these losses, it would seem counter to the public interest for taxes to be raised on farmers.”

The current proposal would limit the deduction to patronage income (business done by the co-op with members), even though under the old law co-ops claimed a deduction for domestic agricultural income from both patronage and nonpatronage (business done with non-members) activities. To limit this now, despite Congress’s clear direction not to when passing the law, would be a significant tax increase on the millions of farmer-owners of co-ops.

“[W]e are especially concerned that there has been no economic analysis of the impact on these proposed regulations on individual farmers and ranchers,” the letter concludes. “We ask that the current regulation be withdrawn, an economic analysis of the proposal’s impact on farmers be conducted, and the proposed rule be rewritten in accordance with congressional intent to ensure that the tax burden on America’s hardworking farmers and ranchers and their rural communities will not increase.”

In a statement after the letter was sent, NCFC President and CEO Chuck Conner noted, “the move is especially puzzling given that, at a House Ways and Means hearing in early March, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, asked about the 199A(g) rule, committed to work with Congress and stakeholders to determine what Congress had intended in passing the provision. Soon after that hearing, Treasury became consumed by the COVID-19 crisis and to our knowledge no such consultations took place.”

The letter can be found on the NCFC web site.

About NCFC

Since 1929, NCFC has been the voice of America's farmer cooperatives. Our members are regional and national farmer cooperatives, which are in turn composed of nearly 2,000 local farmer cooperatives across the country. NCFC members also include 26 state and regional councils of cooperatives. Farmer cooperatives allow individual farmers the ability to own and lead organizations that are essential for continued competitiveness in both the domestic and international markets.

America’s farmer-owned cooperatives provide a comprehensive array of services for their members. These diverse organizations handle, process and market virtually every type of agricultural commodity. They also provide farmers with access to infrastructure necessary to manufacture, distribute and sell a variety of farm inputs. Additionally, they provide credit and related financial services, including export financing.

During COVID-19 crisis, US consumers have high expectations of online, traditional retailers

Latest GfK data shows some lessening of demand for hygiene, other protocols – but expectations remain strong

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, USA, May 28, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Coronavirus crisis is a time when online and in-person retailers can win new fans among anxious consumers – or deliver disappointments that may resonate well beyond the pandemic.

New research in GfK’s Consumer Pulse series – which has been tracking people’s reactions to COVID-19 for the past two months – shows that shoppers are expecting retailers to step up with added services and precautions during this difficult time.

Click here to register for a June 4th roundtable discussion on COVID-19

In Wave 6 of the Consumer Pulse data – collected May 18 to 19, 2020 – 54% of consumers said they are still shopping in-store only – unchanged from the previous wave. Another 32% are combining brick-and-mortar and online buying, and 15% are shopping online only.

GfK found that seven in ten (70%) consumers believe that brick-and-mortar stores should be following basic hygiene protocols; and while expectations around many practices have dropped off since the previous wave (May 5 to 6), demand remains high.

In the latest data, for example,
• 53% say that offline retailers need to enforce social distancing (compared to 59% two weeks ago);
• 49% expect options for disinfecting baskets and/or their hands when they go to stores (versus 55% in the previous wave); and
• 43% believe store employees should be wearing masks (compared to 49% two weeks ago)
• 43% believe customers should wear masks in stores

Consumers believe it is not just enough for stores to develop policies; they want them to enforce them, too, with over four in ten saying retailers need to strictly enforce policies for employees (43%) and customers (42%).

In addition, 44% of shoppers say traditional retailers should offer special hours for the elderly and other at-risk groups (versus 52% two weeks ago), and 41% feel there should be restrictions on buying certain high-demand items (compared to 47% in the previous wave).

Demand for free delivery

Consumers also have strong expectations for online retailers doing business during the COVID-19 crisis. Almost six in ten (59%) are looking for some sort of special delivery option – with 42% believing that sellers should provide free home delivery (down from 46% two weeks ago), and 30% seeking click-and-collect service (versus 33% in the previous wave).

While the new wave shows some relaxation of expectations around hygiene and other protocols when it comes to retailers, the vast majority of consumers say they are expecting COVID-19 habits to persist after the virus has passed. The new data show that
• 86% believe they will continue to wash their hands as diligently as they are now,
• 73% say they will continue to follow social distancing guidelines, and
• 73% will wear face masks when ill.

GfK’s Consumer Pulse research covers 30 countries, allowing brands and marketers to #MasterTheCrisis by understanding consumer attitudes, behavior, purchase intent, media consumption, and more – both now and in the future. The research reveals changes in demand for goods and services, as well as which sectors and channels present risks or opportunities, so that companies can respond with confidence and come out of the crisis stronger, better positioned, and closer to consumers than before.

As part of this research, GfK interviewed a representative sample of 1,020 US consumers (ages 16 to 65) during May 18th and 19th, 2020.

Kelly Hyman: Lawyer, Advocate, and Media Commentator, Shares Her Family History to Shed Light On Mental Health Awareness

Attorney Kelly Hyman

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, May 28, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Kelly Hyman is a highly driven and passionate attorney who spends much of her time helping to facilitate change in the world for the better. Kelly Hyman uses her fame, her education, and her experience for good. If she finds a cause that is worthy, she will likely bring about the change she strives for with tenacity and vision. May is considered Mental Health Awareness Month, and there is still too much of a stigma about mental health issues that block many from receiving the help they need to thrive.

Kelly Hyman has experienced a few of the challenges many people face in America today when it comes to finding the appropriate care and shedding stigma because her father and her half-siblings on her father’s side has had struggles with mental health issues. The topic is a personal one for her.

Kelly Hyman Is Spreading Awareness About Mental Health

Kelly Hyman works tirelessly when it comes to social justice issues. Mental health may not be a topic many people want to discuss but there needs to be a normalization when it comes to mental health issues so those who suffer can receive care in a judgment-free, easy treatment way comparable to getting a broken bone repaired. The problem is that we can not see a mental health struggle the way a broken bone is clearly visible with a clear treatment plan for the doctor to follow. But even if we cannot fully understand all the aspects of mental health, as a society we can improve measures for treatment and normalize the idea of receiving care without judgment. Kelly Hyman is a valuable asset to the cause as an advocate to spread mental health awareness in May and the rest of the year. Because of her impressive career, social connections, and tenacity when a cause is close to her heart, Kelly Hyman will continue to spread her message for social justice and stand up for causes she believes in every month. May is a great time to set aside for Mental Health, in particular, to shed extra light on the topic for those who cannot do so themselves.

About Kelly Hyman

Attorney Kelly Hyman stays impressively busy advocating for causes she cares about. She is a member of the Florida Bar, Colorado Bar, Washington D.C. Bar, and the New York Bar, in addition to the American Association for Justice. She was the former President of the Federal Bar, Palm Beach Chapter. Kelly Hyman is a democratic political and legal analyst and has several television and radio appearances related to her expertise and passion including Law & Crime, Fox News, The Ingraham Angle, and Fox and Friends First, and the Ethan Bearman show, "Issues and Ideas" with Chris DeBellow, "The Whistleblower" with Mychal Wilson and the "Jiggy Jaguar" radio show. Mullahs' parliament is the flipside of, and indispensable to, the Hezbollahi government, Khamenei called for

Qalibaf is among primary officials involved in suppression and warmongering and engaged in theft and plunder within the clerical regime”

— Maryam Rajavi

PARIS, FRANCE, May 28, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Terrified of the uprising, Khamenei had purged candidates from the rival factions to plan for the formation of such a parliament and government. But this is a serious step towards working to end the regime.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), described IRGC Brig. Gen. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the regime's new Parliament Speaker, as the murderer of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK) members, and an accomplice to Ebrahim Raisi, the regime's Judiciary Chief. Qalibaf is among primary officials involved in suppression and warmongering and engaged in theft and plunder within the clerical regime. Appointing him as the Head of the Legislature by Khamenei is a new step towards further contraction of the ruling system in the final phase of this regime.

Mrs. Rajavi added, the IRGC-dominated Parliament is the flipside of, and indispensable to, a Hezbollahi Government, for which Khamenei had called on May 17. Terrified of an uprising, Khamenei had long planned to purge the candidates from the rival factions and hold a sham and engineered election for such a parliament and government to be formed. Nevertheless, Qalibaf's appointment as the Parliament Speaker is no doubt a serious step towards working to end the regime.

Qalibaf, who takes pride in killing the PMOI/MEK members in Operation Eternal Light in 1988, acknowledged three years ago that "only four percent of the population is satisfied with the current situation," as reported by Tasnim News Agency, on April 15, 2017.

Since the onset of the clerical regime, Qalibaf has played an active role in the suppression of the MEK, protests in Tehran, and the people of Kurdistan. He was actively involved in the unpatriotic war with Iraq. According to the regime's media and agencies, during his 12-year tenure as the Mayor of Tehran, he stole and embezzled billions of dollars.

In 1983, during the unpatriotic war, he was appointed commander of the 5th Nasr Division and sent thousands of children and students to minefields.

In 1987, he was appointed as the commander of the Najaf base in Kermanshah, in 1988 as the commander of the 3rd region of the IRGC, and in 1989 as the commander of the 68th Karbala Division. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the IRGC Ground Forces. In 1994, he succeeded the IRGC Basij Command and set up a Basij intelligence service to arrest and suppress the opposition. Subsequently, he was appointed commander of the IRGC's Khatam al-Anbiya Garrison, one of the largest economic conglomerates of the clerical regime. In 1997, Khamenei appointed him as the Air Force Commander. In that capacity, he increased the IRGC's missile units from three to five brigades.

In July 1999, despite being IRGC's Air Force commander, he personally took part in the suppression of the students' protests. In 2013, as a Presidential candidate, he said in this regard, "When the 1999 incident occurred at universities' dormitories, Mr. Soleimani (i.e., IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani) and I wrote that letter (to the President). When students began to march on Khamenei's office, I was the IRGC's Air Force commander. My picture on a motorcycle while carrying a big stick is available. I was with Hossein Khaleqi, with whom we were on the street to quell the protests. Wherever necessary, we come to the street and beat (people) with sticks.

We are among those who wielded their sticks. It is an honor that in 1980, we were wielding sticks against Massoud Rajavi (the Iranian Resistance's Leader). We confronted his supporters in the streets and universities. We were martyr (Mohammad Hossein) Beheshti's men. Since then, we wielded our sticks, as necessary. I did not say I am the Air Force Commander and that I should not be in the street; that as a commander, I should not be in the street."

In 2,000, Qalibaf was appointed as the commander of the State Security Force (SSF) and set up a suppressive police unit 110. In September 2002, he implemented the plan for moral security. In a meeting at the National Security Council, during student protests in 2003, he said, "As the SSF commander, I will personally crush and quell them."

In 2005 Qalibaf became the Mayor of Tehran, and for the next 12 years, he was involved in stealing, looting, plundering, and including offering properties of Tehran's municipality to the regime's apparatchiks at great discounts. During the same period, the gender separation plan was implemented in municipalities.

On July 12, 2017, citing a "letter of the General Inspection Office," the state-run Iran daily wrote, "Tehran Municipality has been accused of bribery, embezzlement, fraud and misusing public property amounting to 22,000 billion tomans… According to this letter, Tehran Municipality had given parcels of lands in the northern part of Tehran at a 50% discount to some of its managers, members of the city council, a member of parliament, an SSF official and several security officials. The letter from the General Inspection Office stated that these lands were priced at very low (unrealistic) and with a significant discount of at least 100 million to more than one billion tomans and also in the form of 600-month installments to the recipients. It has also been announced that 200 apartments, villas, and Tehran Municipality land had been sold for 2.2 trillion tomans less than the original price."

On August 20, 2019, the state-run media, including the state-run Tabnak website revealed another part of Qalibaf's theft and embezzlement, including "47 secret bank accounts, an unpaid Judiciary debt of 229.7 billion tomans to Tehran's municipality, 497 billion tomans that the IRGC's Cooperative Fund owed to the municipality, a payment of 60 billion tomans and the handover of 80,000 square meters of land to “Imam Reza” Foundation (owned by Qalibaf's wife), and the purchase and sale of a Metro station."

PARIS, FRANCE, May 27, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Despite the clerical regime’s heightened repressive measures and desperate efforts and the launch of a wave of blind arrests in various cities, defiant youths have targeted several centers of repression and plunder in Tehran and other cities over the past week.

By setting alight the entrances of these centers, the defiant youth echo the anger and abhorrence of the Iranian people over 40 years of suppression and inhuman policies of the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.

On Monday, May 25, 2020, the center for the export of extremism and Terrorism in Qom, supervised by Ali Khamenei’s office, was targeted by the defiant youth. At the same time, the repressive Basij Center in Kermanshah and Goldasht-Karaj were set on fire.

In Isfahan, the center of plunder, the so-called “Martyr’s Foundation,” and IRGC’s mobilization center involved in suppressing the uprisings were targeted by the defiant youth.

In Qom, the Headquarters for IRGC Sites was targeted. In Karaj, defiant youth torched the sign at the entrance of the repressive Basij center, responsible for suppressing university students. In Tehran, the billboard of the center for terrorism recruitment and training, as well as in Sonqor and Kolyāei (Kermanshah Province), were targeted and set on fire.

In the past week, defiant youths have also set fire the pictures of the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, as well as the banners of Qassem Soleimani, the eliminated commander of the terrorist Quds force, in various cities, including Arak and Karaj.

Mental Health Month: A Marketing Campaign to Fuel the Psychiatric Industry

More than 7 million U.S. children are being prescribed psychiatric drugs and hundreds of thousands of these children are between the ages of zero to five.

The Marketing of Madness: Are We All Insane?

The Marketing of Madness: Are We All Insane?

Psychiatric treatment is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world according to IMS Health with global sales reaching $76 billion a year.

Too often a person seeking help is simply given a script for a psychiatric drug with dangerous side effects. This isn’t help. This is business, business built on the pain of others.”

— Diane Stein, president of CCHR Florida

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, May 27, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Since 1949 the month of May has been touted as Mental Health Month for the stated purpose of educating people on mental health issues. However, the real motive behind this marketing comes into question when messages such as “the 7 biggest parenting mistakes that destroy kids’ mental strength” and “Homeschooling is ‘Dangerous,’ It Gives Parents ‘Authoritarian Control’ Over Kids” are being pushed. [1,2]

During Mental Health Month, the call to action was for a million mental health screenings to be completed. Individuals interested in learning more about mental illness are driven to websites where they can take a series of quizzes called screening tools which are marketed as the quickest and easiest way to determine if someone is experiencing “symptoms” of a mental health condition. [3]

“According to those pushing for more mental health screenings, most of the people who take these quizzes have never been diagnosed with a mental illness making it the perfect generator for new business,” said the president of the Florida chapter of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR).

With global sales reaching $76 billion a year, psychiatric treatment is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world and according to IMS Health, a company that provides information, services and technology for the healthcare industry, there are over 78 million people taking psychiatric drugs in the United States. [4,5]

“All too often a person seeking help is simply labeled and given a script for a psychiatric drug with potentially dangerous side effects,” said Stein. “This isn’t help. This is business, business built on the pain of others.”

Additionally, as reported in Scientific American, 1 in 6 American adults reported taking a psychiatric drug in a 2013 study and currently more than 7 million U.S. children are being prescribed psychiatric drugs and hundreds of thousands of these children are between the ages of zero to five. [6,7]

The targeting of children for mental health screening is of grave concern to CCHR, a watchdog organization that investigates abuse committed in the mental health industry, who believes that parents are not properly informed of their rights in these matters.

In response, CCHR created a Parental Rights Guidebook for Florida parents which lists out rights in easy to understand terms. L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, first brought psychiatric imprisonment to wide public notice: “Thousands and thousands are seized without process of law, every week, over the ‘free world’ tortured, castrated, killed. All in the name of ‘mental health,’” he wrote in March 1969. For more information please visit www.cchrflorida.org.

RELIGIONS ARE "ESSENTIAL"

International Multi-Faith Coalition

International Multi-Faith Coalition

VM

Many faiths have been educating their communities about staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, like this Scientology volunteer who is distributing “Stay Well” educational booklets to essential businesses to distribute to their customers.

The Church of Scientology National Affairs Office, Washington, DC

Responsible prevention practices are essential for a trouble-free opening of all houses of worship, a multi-faith coalition of religious leaders state.

Our spiritual well being depends on responsible prevention practices.””

— Rev. Susan Taylor

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, May 26, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — With the White House asserting this week that governors should classify houses of worship as “essential” and permit them to reopen, religious leaders from the International Multi-Faith Coalition (IMFC) urge responsible adoption of guidelines to ensure the physical as well as the spiritual health of those they serve.

The consensus is that all houses of worship should review and understand the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidance for Communities of Faith
(https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/faith-based.html) adopt them to ensure trouble-free opening and to keep their parishioners safe and well. CDC offers general considerations to help communities of faith discern how best to practice their beliefs while keeping their staff and congregations safe.

"We believe one of the most important points is to educate the religious communities on the proper precautions to take while practicing their faith, as well as in daily life," said Bishop Craig A. Worsham, President of the IMFC. “The role we play as houses of worship in times of crisis cannot be underestimated."

Bishop Worsham added, “I firmly believe that the choice and time frame in which to re-open the sanctuaries for worship services rest with the senior leadership of the local assemblies. Many of the houses of worship across our city indeed have been providing essential services to the community-at-large such as but not limited to: Emergency food & clothing, housing, and testing.”

Several churches have already implemented necessary measures and made resource centers available for their religious communities. One example is the Islamic Center of Southern California which has a Covid-19 Resources section of their website at www.islamiccenter.com/covid19, with information on how to stay well and healthy.

The First African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church has also created resources for this purpose at www.famechurch.org/updates.html.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles also has a Federation Crisis Resources section at www.jewishla.org seeking to educate and there are many more.

The Church of Scientology has a How to Stay Well Resource Center  where people can study, download, print and share booklets, signs and videos on basic prevention principles to keep themselves and others well.

Key recommendations to ensure the reopening houses of worship occur without a hitch include:

1) Taking the temperature of clergy and parishioners when entering. If anyone has a temperature or has been exposed to someone who has been ill or has symptoms, they should return home and isolate themselves.
2) All churches should make sanitizers readily available for their parishioners throughout their quarters.
3) They should follow any regulations on the number of people who may congregate and follow social distancing in events and religious practice.
4) The wearing of mask and gloves while inside the house of worship is highly recommended.
5) Houses of worship should sanitize their quarters frequently to keep it as germ-free as possible.

“We are dedicated to making this transition work. Our congregations need our help now and we must provide that help safely to care for body and soul,” said Bishop Worsham.

Echoing the message of responsible prevention practices for houses of worship as areas of the country reopen, the Church of Scientology National Affairs Office in Washington, DC, and its volunteers continued their outreach around the city sharing the educational material of the church’s Resource Center. Rev. Susan Taylor, National Public Affairs Director, said, “Here in Washington, DC, our city has not yet met the criteria for reopening but all are preparing for the day in the near future when we can start our phase one. We join with others not only here in Washington but around the country in doing all we can to be sure that we move through our reopening phases safely. Our spiritual well being depends on responsible prevention practices.”

The Church of Scientology National Affairs Office is located in Washington, DC, in the historic Fraser Mansion.
