The multi-generational tale of a family in the Appalachian Mountains stars Glenn Close, Amy Adams and Freida Pinto

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ —
Netflix's Hillbilly Elegy has released on Netflix. Based on J.D. Vanes' #1 New York Times Bestseller, the film follows J.D. Vance (Gabriel Basso), a former Marine from southern Ohio and current Yale Law student, is on the verge of landing his dream job when a family crisis forces him to return to the home he’s tried to forget. J.D. must navigate the complex dynamics of his Appalachian family, including his volatile relationship with his mother Bev (Amy Adams), who’s struggling with addiction. Fueled by memories of his grandmother Mamaw (Glenn Close), the resilient and whip-smart woman who raised him, J.D. comes to embrace his family’s indelible imprint on his own personal journey.

Hillbilly Elegy is directed by Academy Award winner Ron Howard, and is a powerful personal memoir that offers a window into one family’s personal journey of survival and triumph. By following three colorful generations through their unique struggles, J.D.’s family story explores the highs and lows that define his family’s experience.

Amistad Project Files Litigation Calling More Than 200,000 Georgia Ballots into Question

Filing details pattern of unlawful actions that should render initial results invalid

AMHERST, VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society today filed a lawsuit contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, citing expert opinion that well over 100,000 illegal votes were improperly counted, while tens of thousands of legal votes were not counted.

The expert analysis of government data showing that the total number of illegal votes counted and legal votes not counted is greater than 200,000 — vastly exceeding the 12,670-vote margin in the presidential election contest.

“The number of potentially fraudulent ballots we’ve identified in Georgia is over 15 times greater than the margin separating Donald Trump and Joe Biden. This finding undercuts the integrity of the general election,” said Phill Kline, Director of The Amistad Project. “The discrepancies we identified arose in large part because certain election officials acted with greater fealty to the dictates of private funders than to the laws set forth by the people’s representatives in the General Assembly.”

Systematic failures by state and local election officials to adhere to the procedures outlined in Georgia’s election code were encouraged and facilitated by private monies donated by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg through a leftist organization called the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which gave $6.3 million to Fulton County, and smaller amounts to at least a dozen other generally Democratic counties.

Under Georgia law, only the Secretary of State can take in monies for the purposes of conducting and administering elections from sources other than taxation. Even then, the only allowable exception applies to federal grants requested by the Secretary of State under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA).

The CTCL grants imposed a number of strict conditions on recipients, such as specifying the number of polling places and ballot drop boxes, as well as paying for additional staff to help voters comply with absentee ballot requests and certification requirements. Counties that were unaware of the CTCL grants or unable to receive such funds could not provide voters with the same advantages.

Failure to comply with all of the conditions set forth by CTCL would have required the counties to refund the entirety of the grant monies they received, which were used for essential expenses such as paying the salaries of election workers and funding the purchase of voting equipment.

Trey Trainor, the Chief Electoral Officer of the Federal Election Commission, reacted to a similar pattern of lawlessness and irregularities detailed in the Amistad Project’s litigation filed in Pennsylvania by asserting that “the referendum has not been open” and “this election is invalid.”

The Amistad Project is asking the courts to recognize that the same conclusions apply to Georgia, arguing that the violations outlined in the litigation deprived voters of due process and equal protection, and rendered the results of the election null and void. As a result, the only practical, legal remedy is to invalidate the election result and allow the Georgia General Assembly to appoint the state’s presidential Electors.

On COVID-19, Anger Overtakes Fear; GenZ Least Trusting of UK Government

Gen-Z (those aged 18-24) in the UK are by far least trusting of the Government at 17%

Emotions around COVID in business context

Levels of trust in Government remain at an all-time low

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Few people trust Government to get COVID-19 right, with Americans at 33% slightly more supportive of the Trump administration’s COVID management than Briton’s 27% belief in Boris Johnson’s government’s handling of the crisis.

According to Echo Research’s poll released today, Gen-Z (those aged 18-24) in the UK are by far the least trusting of the Government at 17%, compared to 38% among their US cohorts, perhaps reflecting anger of the UK’s A-level results mismanagement.

Echo’s study also found that 49% of UK adults say they are confused about the rules of COVID compliance, compared to 31% across the US.

During the early stages of the pandemic, online conversations about COVID-19 in relation to business express everything from joy to fear as the pandemic impacted people differently. With fear initially on the rise, greater anger and frustration are now taking over as lockdown and further restrictions are announced.

Overall, levels of trust in Government remain at an all-time low, and while trust in businesses (large and small) has also declined compared to Echo’s study in 2019.

Echo conducted an integrated study of stakeholder interviews, consumer polls and social listening to better frame and understand changes to Trust and Expectations at a time of COVID-19.

The full report by Echo Research, About Trust and Expectations at a Time of COVID, will be released later this week.

Horse Protection Groups Back Bipartisan Congressional Letter Supporting Humane Treatment of Wild Horses

Wild horses held capitve in BLM holding facilities

Wild horses held capitve in BLM holding facilities

House leadership encouraged to preserve bipartisan amendment in final FY21 spending deal

Rounding up our iconic American wild horses and burros isn’t the answer. PZP provides a low-cost, long-term solution to protecting the horses whose very backs this country was built upon.”

— Marty Irby

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., joined by 21 Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, today sent a letter to House Leadership requesting it retain his Interior and Environment appropriations amendment requiring the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to utilize $11 million in funding for humane, reversible fertility control for tens of thousands of wild horses and burros under the BLM’s protection. The measure, conceived by Cohen and Animal Wellness Action, passed the U.S. House in July by a voice vote, but was not included in the Senate’s version of the bill. Animal Wellness Action, the Animal Wellness Foundation, Horses for Life Foundation, Center for a Humane Economy, and other equine protection groups worked with Cohen in securing signors of the letter to House leaders and appropriators.

“We applaud Rep. Steve Cohen and the House Members who’ve joined our effort to implement the use of PZP birth control in wild horse and burro populations on public lands,” said Marty Irby, executive director at Animal Wellness Action, and a lifelong horseman who was recently honored by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, II for his work to protect horses. “Rounding up and incarcerating our iconic American wild horses and burros – a failed strategy the BLM has long adhered to – isn’t the answer. PZP provides a low-cost, long-term sustainable solution to protecting the horses whose very backs this country was built upon, and we call on appropriators to include this measure in the year-end spending deal.”

“It’s long past time to end the old paradigm of managing America’s mustangs through archaic helicopter roundups and stockpiling these iconic wild animals in holding facilities,” said Allondra Stevens, founder of Horses For Life Foundation. “Humane management through the robust use of the fertility control, porcine zona pellucida (PZP), not only has the backing of science, but also the American public. Thanks to the leadership of U.S. Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN), Congress now has the opportunity to mandate that the Bureau of Land Management change course by ensuring PZP is implemented as a primary management method.”

“The American public wants our cherished and iconic wild horses and burros managed humanely on the public rangelands using proven PZP fertility control, not the failed policy of mass roundups and incarcerations,” said Scott Beckstead, director of campaigns at the Center for a Humane Economy and Animal Wellness Action.” We hope the House leadership will insist on dedicating $11 million to manage our herds in a way that allows them to live wild and free.”

“We write to urge your continued support for the humane and sustainable management of wild horses and burros on our public lands,” wrote the 21 Members of the House in the letter sent today. “To that end, we request dedicated funding in any final spending package for the implementation of humane, proven and reversible fertility control, namely the porcine zona pellucida (PZP) immunocontraceptive vaccine by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). We are pleased this amendment to support this effort was adopted by voice vote in the House of Representatives as part of its Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Interior and Environment Appropriations bill.”

In addition to Rep. Cohen, the 21 Members that co-signed today’s letter include Reps. Vern Buchanan, R-Fla., Salud Carbajal, D-Calif., Gerald E. Connolly, D-Va., Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., Ted Deutch, D-Fla., Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Penn. Raúl M. Grijalva, D-Ariz., Deb Haaland, D-N.M., Alcee L. Amistad Project Files Litigation Calling More Than 150,000 Wisconsin Ballots into Question

Extensive investigations and data analysis reveal pattern of illegality and fraud that cast doubt on validity of unofficial election results

AMHERST, VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — A national conservative organization, The Amistad Project, today filed an emergency petition with the Wisconsin Supreme Court challenging the state’s unofficial results in the 2020 presidential election, which gave Democrat candidate Joe Biden a margin of just 20,000 votes over Republican candidate Donald Trump.

“We have identified over 150,000 potentially fraudulent ballots in Wisconsin, more than enough to call into question the validity of the state’s reported election results,” said Phill Kline, Director of The Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society. “Moreover, these discrepancies were a direct result of Wisconsin election officials’ willful violation of state law.”

The discrepancies discovered in the Amistad Project’s investigation, conducted in the last several weeks, include more than ten thousand Republican ballots that weren’t counted, more than ten thousand Republican voters who had their ballots requested and filled in by another person, and around a hundred thousand illegal ballots that were counted anyway [Appendix A]. The problematic ballots were identified in a data analysis performed by statistician Matthew Braynard and mathematician Steven Miller.

The lawsuit details a series of illegal actions taken by Wisconsin officials that led to significant numbers of improper votes being counted, as well as tens of thousands of legal votes that were not counted.

One of the most impactful violations involved election officials brazenly defying state laws designed to ensure the integrity of absentee ballots, specifically provisions requiring voters to present photo identification when requesting an absentee ballot. The only exceptions to this requirement outlined in law apply to voters who are either “hospitalized” or “indefinitely confined because of age, physical illness, or infirmity.”

Local election officials unilaterally interpreted the “indefinitely confined” exemption to apply to persons suffering from COVID-19, and the Wisconsin Election Commission exceeded its statutory authority by issuing “guidance” instructing election clerks not to reject voters who cite the exemption, even if the officials have knowledge that the individuals in question are no longer indefinitely confined.

Statistical analysis indicates that nearly 100,000 persons who exploited this exemption to cast absentee ballots were not actually indefinitely confined on Election Day, meaning they should not have been eligible to vote.

Election officials in various counties and municipalities also failed to enforce residency requirements, filled in missing information on absentee ballots, and willfully violated other explicit provisions of Wisconsin’s election code.

The cities and counties where these violations occurred were among the six jurisdictions with reliably left-leaning populations that together received in excess of $6 million from the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), a left-leaning organization funded by $350 million donated by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Receipt of this funding was itself a violation of state law. Jurisdictions that did not receive CTCL monies, on the other hand, generally followed state laws.

In response to a similar pattern of lawlessness and irregularities detailed in litigation filed in Pennsylvania, the Chief Electoral Officer of the Federal Election Commission, Trey Trainor, recently remarked that “the referendum has not been open” and “this election is invalid.”

Based on the sheer scale and scope of the illegality in Wisconsin, the statistical evidence makes clear that the unofficial election results reported by the state are illegitimate and inconclusive, leaving the state legislature as the only body that can lawfully appoint Wisconsin’s 10 presidential Electors.

Lyfeloop Calls Out Facebook With Election Outcome Unclear Amid Pending Recounts and Legal Challenges

The labeling of Joe Biden as ‘president-elect’ is fake, and everyone knows it. ”

— Justin Malonson-Lyfeloop Founder

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Facebook Alternative and Free speech social platform Lyfeloop Condemned Facebook for falsely calling Joe Biden the 2020 election presidential nominee. Stating that seeing obvious election fraud and still declaring a winner of the election before all results are certified and any legal challenges are resolved is election meddling. " It's so obvious what they have been doing all year with censorship.  Our nation is moving into uncharted territory as multiple legal challenges have been filed in response to the 2020 elections, with more challenges expected to come. Both candidates have claimed victory in certain states, but it appears increasingly likely that this election will be resolved in the courts. For that reason, no one without a bias or agenda would declare a winner of the 2020 presidential election until all results are certified and any legal challenges are resolved." States Lyfeloop Founder Justin Malonson. Lyfeloop has repeatedly condemned mainstream media new outlets and major social media platforms for their censorship in 2020. News sources, for example, Reuters, CNN, NBC, ABC and a plenty of others have all emphatically reported Joe Biden as the duly elected president, regardless of the exceptional claims and endeavors to describe casts a ballot the nation over that still can't seem to be finished.  Web-based media distributers have additionally mistakenly marked Joe Biden as the duly elected president, proceeding with the spread of deception concerning the result of the 2020 political race. Last week social media publisher Facebook revised their initial labeling of Joe Biden as “president-elect,” changing it to back to “politician.” The Federal Inquirer stated that it was in response to more than 2 million users leaving Facebook to join it's main competitor Lyfeloop.

Regarding censoring free speech and America’s election process, Justin Malonson, 16+ year investigative researcher and Founder of Lyfeloop—a free speech social media platform that recently won the award for Best Facebook Alternative in 2020—remarked the following:

“The labeling of Joe Biden as ‘president-elect’ is fake, and everyone knows it. With all the fake fact checking and censorship they have done this year, they lost what little if any credibility they had left. Facebook was created by Darpa anyway. They have lost the trust of millions of their users for numerous reasons including: selling user data to 3rd parties, banning accredited users while allowing spammers to run free, discrimination (political, medical, religious) and having a total disrespect for user safety. All Facebook does is censor real content and allow fake content to be uncensored. They have also disrespected U.S. Federal Government and European Union' guidelines that are in place to protect us. This massive breech of trust has created a feeling of unrest amid users which have since looked to Facebook alternatives like Lyfeloop that are fun, safe and trustworthy places to interact with family and friends. ”

Given today's ever growing social media censorship, individuals are aching for genuine platform to share, connect and befriend like minded people without being censored for no reason. Lyfeloop is venturing directly into that void and having a genuine effect. Lyfeloop does not mine or sell data, and does not remove content based on politics or ideology. Lyfeloop is putting the "social" back into "social media" with more and more people joining the platform every day.

Surge in implementation of technologically driven logistics services and increase in IoT-enabled connected devices growth of the Latin America logistics market.

PORTLAND, OR, UNITED STATES, November 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Latin America Logistics Market 2020-2030: Surge in implementation of technologically driven logistics services and increase in IoT-enabled connected devices adoption propel the growth of the Latin America logistics market. Brazil accounted for highest market share in 2019, and is projected to maintain its dominance by 2027. The lockdown by governments of many countries hindered the goods movement and the logistic processes such as reverse logistics have been affected considerably.

According to the report published by Allied Market Research, the Latin America logistics market garnered $542.40 billion in 2019, and is estimated to reach $784.60 billion by 2027, portraying a CAGR of 6.2% from 2020 to 2027. The report offers a comprehensive analysis of changing market dynamics, key winning strategies, top investment pockets, major segments, and competitive scenario.

Rise in technologically driven logistics services, surge in IoT-enabled connected devices adoption, and development of the e-commerce market propel the growth of the Latin America logistics market. However, lack of required infrastructure, high cost of logistics, and lack of firm control of manufacturers on logistics services hinder the market growth. Contrarily, rise in usage of information technologies (IT) solutions & software and emergence of last mile delivery services would offer new opportunities for the market players in the coming years.
